I hit up Tops today.  My retail amount was $117.49 and my total after discounts and coupons was just $49.17, for a savings of about 58%.

Here's what I bought for less than $50:

4 boxes of Ronzoni Healthy Harvest pasta = $0.50 each
Sale price $1 each, used 2 $1 off 2 coupons found here

Sale price $1.99 each, used $1 off 2 coupon from this past Sunday's Smart Source coupon insert

2 packages of Wacky Mac pasta = $0.20 each
Sale price 3/$5, but they were on sale $1 each last week and the store was out of stock the first time I went last week.  I asked for a rain check, then used it today along with 2 $0.40 coupons from coupons.com, which doubled to $0.80 off each package!  If you don't see the coupon, try changing to zip code 90210.

11 bottles of Vitaminwater = $0.73 each
Sale price $1 each, with an in-store promotion of buy 10 and get the 11th free, used 2 $1 off 5 coupons here (FYI, this coupon expires 6/11)

2 Duncan Hines brownie mixes = $1.00 each
Sale price $2 each, used 2 $0.50 coupons (double to $1) found here

3 boxes Mrs. T's Pierogies = $1.67 each
Sale price $2 each, used $1 off 3 coupon from one of this past Sunday's coupon inserts (don't remember which one - sorry!)

I also bought bagged salads (on sale for $2 each), cherry tomatoes (buy 1 get 1 free sale), and red grapes ($1.49/lb.).

I can't wait to eat brownie sundaes for dessert tonight.  They'll even taste better than usual since I was able to get such a good deal!

Tip of the day: online printable coupons

Did you know that you can usually print more than one copy of an online printable coupon?

Most sites like coupons.com, redplum.com, smartsource.com, and target.com allow you to print 2 copies of each coupon per computer.  If you want or need more than 2 of a particular coupon, try using a second computer (or ask a friend to print them for you on their computer).

Also, after you print a "bricks coupon" (the URL will begin with bricks.coupon.com and is usually from a link on a manufacturer website), hit your back browser 2 or 3 times after it has printed in order to print your second copy.

Target sunscreen deal

Now that we're finally starting to get some sun, I've been keeping my eyes open for sales on sunscreen.  Today I bought 2 Banana Boat Kids sunscreens at Target for $7.44 each.  Target is running a deal where you get a $5 gift card when you buy 2 select Banana Boat or Hawaiian Tropic products.  I had 2 $1 off Banana Boat Kids printable Target coupons and I found 2 sunscreens on the shelf with $1 off manufacturer peelie coupons on them, making each one $5.44.  And, because I bought 2 of them I earned a $5 Target gift card on top of that!

I've read online about several people getting better deals by buying a sunscreen and a second cheaper product like a lip balm so they have a lower out-of-pocket cost, but there seems to be inconsistencies among different Targets whether or not the deal is prompting the free gift card with cheaper products.  I have also read several unfavorable online reviews of the lip balm, so I decided to buy products I know I like and will use. Because really, it's not saving me any money if I don't use it!

I also bought Coppertone Kids sunscreen.  There is a printable $1 Target coupon and I had printed a $1 manufacturer coupon a week or so ago from coupons.com.  Total cost ended up being $5.99.

AXE shower gel deal at Target

6/3 Update: I went back to Target today and bought these.  They are actually on sale for $3.49, which works out to be $1.24 each using the coupons mentioned.  Still a good deal in my opinion!

When I was at Target tonight, I ran into a Target employee who was putting Target peelie coupons on AXE shower gel.  I wasn't paying too much attention, but I think the peelie coupons were $1 off 1 and I believe the price was $3.24 each (sorry for the lack off specific details!).  I was just printing coupons off Target's website and found a $2.50 off 2 AXE shower gel manufacturer coupon which can be stacked with the Target peelies.  This would make it $1.98 for both ($0.99 each).

Wish-Bone salad dressing coupon

Sign up for the Wish-Bone e-Newsletter and get an awesome $0.75 off 2 salad dressing coupon, which will double at Wegmans and Tops and should make for a decent deal (especially if you can match it with a sale!).  I signed up a few days ago and just got the coupon offer in my email tonight.

Kraft salad dressing as low as $0.44 at Target!

So, I decided to leave the kids at home with Dad tonight and head over to Target for some "me time."  As I was roaming the aisles in peace and quiet, I noticed Kraft salad dressing for $1.69 each.  I realized I had both a manufacturer coupon and Target coupon which made these a bargain.  Print out the Target coupon for $1 off 2 and stack it with the $1.50 off 2 manufacturer coupon from the Sunday inserts a couple of weeks ago (I think it was from the RedPlum insert on 5/15) and these work out to be $0.44 each!  There was also recently an online printable manufacturer coupon (this one isn't available for me now, I'm not sure if it's because I already printed it or if it is no longer available at all) for $0.55 off any Kraft dressing, so if you use 2 of these plus the Target coupon you'd get them for $0.64 each.
