After playing around with alternate zip codes at coupons.com last night, I found a great coupon that necessitated a Tops trip today (as if I ever really need an excuse for more shopping!). :-) Take a look at today's small trip:
2 boxes Fleischmann's Simply Homemade bread mixes - $1.00 each
On sale 2/$5, used 2 $0.75 coupons (double to $1.50) from here
5 blocks Cracker Barrel cheese - $1.50 each, see notes
On sale 2/$6, used 5 $0.75 coupons (double to $1.50) found here at zip code 77477 (there is also a $1 off 2 coupon if you don't change the zip code)
Notes: I *just* saw these pop up for the first time late last night and printed them, but now I'm not seeing them at all. ??? Hopefully they haven't disappeared completely for everyone. :-/ These are part of a gas points promo where you earn an extra 200
points when you buy 7 select products. Also, Tops' coupon policy states they double 4 like coupons per transaction. However, my cashier went ahead and doubled all 5 of these coupons.
2 Kraft Fresh Takes - $1.00 each, see noteOn sale 4/$10,
used 2 $0.75 coupons (double to $1.50) printed from here (if you don't see the coupon offer when the page loads,
click the left dot on the scrolling screen in the upper part of the
page)
Note: These are also part of the above gas points promo.
2 bags Luden's cough drops - $0.50 each, see notesOn sale 10/$10,
used a $1 off 2 coupon printed from here
Note: These each earn 5 bonus anniversary
points. Also, I noticed today that many of the bags on the shelf at my store had $1 off 2 peelie coupons attached.
The retail cost of this transaction was $39.29 and after coupons and discounts I paid $12.50, for a savings of 68%. My gas discount is now up to $0.90 off per gallon.
I have some more coupons I'd like to use this week, so it looks like I'll make 1, possibly 2, more trips to the store. Until then, happy shopping!
