More 4/1 - 4/7 Tops ideas

Yesterday I made 3 more trips to Tops to stock up on some more sale items.  Here is a breakdown of my transactions:

Transaction 1

2 bags of Pennsylvania Dutch noodles - FREE
On sale 10/$10, used a $1 off 2 coupon from the 3/4 SmartSource coupon insert plus 1 Dollar Doubler coupon from the Tops ad

6 boxes Crystal Light To-Go - $1.00 each, see note
On sale 2/$4, used 3 $1 off 2 coupons from the 3/18 SmartSource coupon insert plus 3 Dollar Doublers
Note: These are part of the "buy 6 select items, get a $3 Catalina coupon" deal featured in the ad.  This deal is producing both the Catalina coupon (that I used on transaction 2) as well as 200 bonus gas points at my local store.

1 StarKist tuna pouch - $0.25
On sale 4/$5, used a $0.50 coupon (doubles to $1) printed from their Facebook offer (note: tomorrow 4/6 is the last Friday that StarKist will offer this coupon promo)

The retail cost of this transaction was $27.81 and I paid $3.57 after discounts and coupons (I also used a $3 Catalina coupon from earlier in the week), for a savings of 87%.

Transaction 2

1 jar Mt. Olive pickles - $0.50
On sale 2/$5, used a $1 coupon from the 1/22 SmartSource coupon insert plus 1 Dollar Doubler

4 boxes Quaker chewy granola bars - $1.40 each
On sale 2/$6, used 2 $1 off 2 coupons from the 3/18 SmartSource coupon insert plus 2 Dollar Doublers, plus when you buy 5 (along with the box below) you get an additional $3 off instantly ($0.60 each)

1 box Quaker yogurt bars - $0.40
On sale 2/$6, used a $1 coupon from the 3/11 SmartSource coupon insert plus 1 Dollar Doubler, plus earned $3 off instantly ($0.60 per item) from the above mentioned deal

1 bag Rosina meatballs - $1.50 (not pictured)
On sale 2/$6, used a $0.75 coupon (doubles to $1.50) from the 3/4 Red Plum coupon insert

The retail cost of this transaction was $23.53 and I paid $5.00 after discounts and coupons (including the $3 Catalina coupon from transaction 1), for a savings of almost 79%.

Transaction 3

2 bags of Pennsylvania Dutch noodles - FREE
On sale 10/$10, used a $1 off 2 coupon from the 3/4 SmartSource coupon insert plus 1 Dollar Doubler

4 cans Dole pineapple - $0.75 each
On sale 4/$5, used a $1 off 4 Catalina coupon that had printed at the register in the past plus 1 Dollar Doubler
Note: I'm not sure why I did this.  I think I was having a brain fart at the time, because I have $1 off 3 coupons which would have made these a better deal.

3 boxes of Stove Top stuffing - $0.83 each
On sale 2/$3, used the $1 off 3 coupon from the 3/25 SmartSource coupon insert plus 1 Dollar Doubler

4 cartons of Cool Whip - $0.75 each
On sale 4/$5, used the $1 off 4 coupon from the 3/25 SmartSource coupon insert plus 1 Dollar Doubler

The retail total for transaction 3 was $27.57 and I spent $8.50 after discounts and coupons, for a savings of 69%.

Overall yesterday, I paid $17.07 for $78.91 worth of groceries, for a savings of approximately 78%.  I am also up to a $1.70 per gallon gas discount!

At this point I've done the majority of my weekly Tops shopping, but I do have a few more transactions planned in order to beef up my stockpile in certain areas.  I'll keep you posted!
